Something to think about

Don't say that in church!

if you will indulge me by clicking on this link you will find that the Governor of Alabama was rebuked by a small minority in Alabama after commenting that those who are Christian as he is Christian are his brothers and sisters.  I kid you not, that is all that he said, and it was said IN A CHURCH!

Yet it was considered inappropiate because it was to commemorate Dr. King .... nevermind the FACT that Dr. King was a PASTOR!

"There may be some people here today who do not have living within them the Holy Spirit," Bentley said during his speech. ''But if you have been adopted in God's family like I have, and like you have if you're a Christian and if you're saved, and the Holy Spirit lives within you just like the Holy Spirit lives within me, then you know what that makes? It makes you and me brothers. And it makes you and me brother and sister."
He did not say that he doesn't care for people of other believes or even that he has anything against them.  Rather simply he stated that his fellow Christians are his brothers and sisters but due to the movement of political correctness he was reamed for this comment.

“When a politician might reveal his beliefs, it is creating an impression,” Policinski said. “Religion is a part of many peoples’ lives, but there is an implication when a particular faith receives favorable or disfavorable treatment. It is a very difficult line to draw, but it is one any politician has to be aware of.”

By the very lips of one of the persecutors it is confirmed that the man did not directly make any claim against non Christians. But by being a public official he no longer has the right to make statements about his religious views even in church.

How does this tie into the blog, "Something to Think About"? This goes back to the original post of the 9th amendment and understanding our rights under the constitution.  We need to wake up people! Our rights are slowly being erroded away by the acid that is the new political system which has been in the birthing process for a few decades
